Kynto for OBS Studio

One script puts your Kynto room on your stream. A transparent browser source sits over your camera or game, its audio lands in the OBS mixer, and your hotkeys reach the world.

Download kynto-source.lua

Version 0.3.0. OBS Studio 28 or newer on Windows, macOS and Linux. Nothing to install beyond the file.

Install in three steps

  1. Download the file above.
  2. In OBS open Tools, then Scripts, press the plus button and pick the file.
  3. In the panel press Connect Kynto account. Your browser opens kynto.io with a six digit code; confirm it there and the room link arrives in OBS on its own. Then press Create or update in current scene. If your computer has no curl, paste a room link into Room URL instead.

Press Create or update again after any change. The existing source is updated, never duplicated.

Hotkeys

Bind them under Settings, Hotkeys. All start unbound.

IdDoes
kynto_refreshReloads the page
kynto_toggleShows or hides the source in the current scene
kynto_action_1 to kynto_action_4Sends the deck action id typed in that slot into the room

Some deck ids to start with: climate.storm, time.dusk, view.toggle, sfx.airhorn, light.dark, fx.crt. The full catalog is the deck inside Kynto; every key there has an id and works from a hotkey here.

Streamlabs Desktop

Streamlabs cannot run OBS scripts. Add a Browser Source yourself: paste your room link, set it to your canvas size, turn Control Audio via Streamlabs Desktop on when you add it, and turn Shutdown source when not visible off.
